About Rockin’ in the Green World

Rockin’ in the Green World, the music lover’s guide to going green, is a resource for musicians and fans alike for discovering eco-friendly ways to make and enjoy music. Green instruments and gear, goods made from reused or recycled music-related stuff, news on artists’ latest eco-ventures, and more: it’s all here.

About Me

I live in Portland, Oregon, a mecca of both sustainable living and music. By day I put my master’s degree in environmental policy to good use by working on recycling and product stewardship issues. Before that, I worked for many years in the green purchasing field. After hours you’ll likely find me enjoying a show at one of Portland’s many fine music venues or at home listening to, playing, or reading about music.

I am a lifelong scholar of the gospel according to John, Paul, George, and Ringo and truly fear the impact the release of The Beatles: Rock Band will have on my professional and personal lives. I just bought my first house and am having “fun” sprucing it up – with eco-friendly style, of course.
